4 inch remodel, Non-IC (insulation contact) housing for use in existing, non-insulated ceilings or insulated ceilings where insulation can be kept 3 inches from all sides of the fixture. Can be installed from below the ceiling. 20-gauge CRS die stamped powder-coated housing. Self resetting thermal protector deactivates fixture if overheating occurs due to improper lamping or misapplied insulation. Includes 4 remodel clips to secure housing and accommodate 1/2 inch to 5/8 inch ceiling material and 3 quick connect connectors, no need for wire connectors. UL (Underwriter's Laboratories) listed.
